Proof of hope in a chaotic world

I was reading the news just a minute ago and came across an article about alleged sex trafficking allegations brought against a famous Hollywood actress recently; you may have heard.

Apparently, she was arrested last month in Mexico by the FBI in connection with a cult that adheres to some belief in ritual sex with kidnapped slaves… delightful. Not!

What is odd about cults is the fact that often highly intelligent, well adjusted, generally “good” and “normal” people can get themselves wrapped up in them.

And find themselves doing some pretty “off their rocker” activities in the line of adherence to the charismatic, extremely manipulative, and highly intelligent cult leaders wishes.

Ironically enough, earlier today I witnessed someone that I know on a rescue mission out in the middle of the desert to locate a missing daughter suspected to be being held against her will in a remote location.

I won’t mention the guy’s name.

But I will mention the SERT Ministries he is a part of.

From what I understand they specialize in rescuing runaways, human traffic victims, and people caught up in abusive environments.

All while preaching salvation through Christ Jesus.

What they do reminds me of Luke chapter 4 verse 18, in the Bible, where it states:

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,”

These guys are doing the opposite of what the Hollywood actress I mention earlier is being accused of doing.

And so as it turns out, hope is still alive!… Praise God!

I wonder if SERT will allow me to write conversion emails for them, to help raise funds and awareness?

I asked we’ll see what they say.

And by the way, if you need an emailer to write for you, helping you sell your product(s) and service, we just might be a match made in heaven.
